The year 2007 relationshipwise....

I have just received a text from a good friend of mine that she has just divorced her husband...only after two months after deciding to lead separate lifes and just eight months after marrying him. And another friend is just getting divorced...They split up one week after their one year wedding anniversary... I do not judge them. I cannot say a single word against them. They are my friends and I will support them any time, especially at times they need me the most. But...it makes me think...has the world gone absolutely crazy? Does getting married mean nothing in today´s world? When promising - on your wedding day - that you will be with your husband/wife in good and bad times....does it mean that when there is the first big crisis you will simply just run away?

The year of 2007 was very tough in terms of relationships in general. Other long term relationships of my friends ended....and we were all thinking that these were "ideal couples"...But the thing is that you never know how the relatioships work when the door is closed...you never see those problems even if you see your friends quite often....you might know that there is something wrong going on.....but....you never know the whole truth.....
